So here is the deal. I started to write on this report from Las Vegas on the way to Las Vegas. I thought I would have time to do updates here on a daily basis… but, oh was I mistaken. And now it has almost been a month since we got on that plane to Vegas for the Trade Shows…
So, I have started two or three really long posts for every day. But looking at them now, they feel a little bit old. It would have made sense to tell you everything day by day… but now I figured I will just share the photo’s with you instead. If you have a Iphone, you could also follow me on Instagram and you might have seen these pics about one month from now. And that is really important in this social networking era right. You have to know everything now. To learn about something one full month later is just not worth it..
So – if you do have any questions regarding our trip to Vegas (yes, I did gamble – and this time I actually won). feel free to hit me up below. I think one of the highlights must have been the conversation I had with Brian from Hanon about helmets and such. Or when Kevin showed me the price of the Champagne on the meny he had brought from some place. Or just hanging out with my long lost friend Rikard (pronounced Rick Hard… for real). Or waiting at Newark airport for 3.5 hours. No, that wasn’t that fun… but what I am trying to say here is that it is the company that makes these trips. So thanks for hanging out. I had fun. Now – pictures
- I love 100 mg of broccoli in the morning. And that mix of 50 mg garlic and a hint of pineapple is just perfect.
- ”to D gates!” ”To d batmo-gates”.. or something
- Thank you for this time Vegas. You were nice to me, so I tried to be nice to you.
- So, this means $1540. It also means you need your passport, and you will get it all in Cash. It also means you should keep that cash and go to bed and go home
- ”I’ll have a glass of your finest Champagne”
- Yes, they had dancers. All girls. All dressed up as peacocks. Not hating, just saying.
- And if you are Ben Preuss, you are always happy to see some SNS people. What’s up Ben
- If you are Ben Preuss, you don’t have to be there early.
- And if you are 8 guys, and want to go to a club. You have to either pay, or have someone that knows someone. In any case it is a good idea to be there early.
- We were rolling 8 deep in that pizza place. The Scottish people was a bit bummed that the Pizza wasn’t deep fried. Apparently that is a big thing in Scotland.
- Thank you Supra for the Pizza.
- Always made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I don’t have time to read blogs, follow twitter and so on. I hardly have time to write on my own blog. So I can’t say that I know who all these people are. And to some of them it is important to be recognized. And I hate to insult people by not confirming them…
- Attended my third All Gone book launch. In case you were wondering, this is Red Stripe in Nevada.
- Yes, they had a Irish Pub
- Looked like Jeff Staple finally hit the jackpot. Collection was huge. Could make the start of a comeback for streetwear. But as well as I know sneakers… I am not that known for my knowledge of clothes…
- Peter is not a huge fan of pigeons. But he do like Staple.
- I want one of these. Anyone got a hook-up I can use?
- And even though mid 90s basketball will make a come back – this is what is good right now.
- Always good to see Woody from Sneaker Freaker. Sorry we missed you in New York
- Shawn Kemp has a lot of kids
- Take my word for it. Chunky mid 90’s basketball shoes are coming back. It might take a few more seasons for Sweden to catch on. But it will. And I am always right when it comes to sneakers.
- This is Rick Hard. I’ve known him since 1980. He is two years younger than me. I was 4 when we met. His daughter is 2 years younger than my son. So, Mr Hard and his lovely wife has 1,5 years to move back home to Stockholm.
- I was a bit worried to be walking around in brand new leather shoes. But the moose leather was super soft. One of the more comfortable shoes we have done
- I told you this before. I am not a skater. I am also not a hater. I like Supra. They are nice people, and they pay attention to details.
- He was happy to see us
- Ran into Leif Pagrotsky
- So, day 2 and it was time for Project, Magic, Slate, Street or whatever it is called. Way bigger than capsule, but still pretty decent.
- Don’t give the butter and the maple syrup too much attention. Focus on the fruit cup next to it. They don’t call me fruit cup for nothing. Actually, Kevin is the only person that calls me fruit cup…
- If you are lucky, you will see the result of this sometime soon. I thought it was very funny. Kevin would make the perfect guide.
- When in Ceasars
- Had a long nice chat with Charlie. He was watching Cars. Kids grow up fast
- Classic dinner at Nobu. Brian is not a fan of Nobu. He is a fan of talking about helmets over dinner though.
- There is not doubt in where they want you to go
- Not to be confused with Beijing 8. The fish looked better than it tasted though…
- After Capsule we went to the Outlet Mall. But apparently I didn’t take any pictures out there.. so here is a picture of the closed pool at our hotel instead.
- Next to Capsule, there was a lingerie trade show. We were invitede, but had some really important things to go to
- Just look at JB’s reaction when he saw the Ubiq teddybear shoes…
- ”So, I have this rad idea – let’s make teddybear shoes. I have not seen that anywhere else…” C’mon Ubiq, you are better than this.
- Capsule wasn’t half bad. The % good vs bad was much better than the trade shows in Berlin
- Yes, they do have big areas for trade shows in Las Vegas…
- Me and Johan brought the same shirt
- I forgot my phone in my room when we went to dinner. Kevin emailed me some pics, so if you feel that you need to see pics of a huge steak, let me know. This was breakfast the day after. Bouchan style
- I actually once heard someone say ”I don’t understand why people travel to Europe. We have everything right here.” And they ment it. They were not selling anything, they was just visiting from one of those square states
- Touch down Las Vegas. That even put a smile on Jb’s face
- I wanted to take a picture of how lined up everything is in the US… But as you might know by now, I am still working on my photoskills
- Sometimes you need to hit these big boys two times
- Guess what epic movie they showed on the plane down?
- You know you are in the US when noone checks in their bags…
- Even Peter was caught up in all the excitement. We almost missed our flight, that’s how exciting Newark Airport is.
- Johan was just as excited as I was to be hanging out in the airport for a few hours.
- So I had to post this wordplay ”nu burgas det”. It’s a wordplay and can’t be translated.
- And this could be why I was that excited. Just look at this airport. So many things going on here. And we only had 3.5 hours… might go back one day to just hang out. Like Tom Hanks.
- Right there and then, after 8 hours on a plane – and after passing several security checkpoints I decided to take a photo of myself… I look really excited to be there
- The number of ingredients in that sandwish…
- Thomas DiLeva was in the papers. Always representing. Well, not always perhaps, but he is a regular and we love him for that.
- If we are going down, I want to be the guy in the beanbag – chillin
- I like to keep Johnnyballe at arms distance. Not further away, but armslenght is good.
- You always need a airport picture before you go. Now a days, if it’s not on Instagram – it probably never happend.
