It is almost 15 years ago now. Myself and Peter started Sneakersnstuff. Over the years we have had much love, and of course some haters. Yesterday Russ Bengtson of Complex Magazine posted a list of the best Sneaker Boutiques in the world right now. Just to be on that list, and in that crowd would be humbling enough. And Russ put Sneakersnstuff as number 1. Now, as a 16-year old kid from Gubbängen pointed out on my Instagram yesterday – Complex has lots of lists, and sometimes you might not agree to all that is written. And that is fine, every kid (and grown-up) is in title to their own opinion.

But to me, to have Complex Magazine, and Russ Bengtson telling us and the rest of the world that he actually thinks we are doing the best job in the business right now – that means the world to me. So – as much respect as I have  to everybody on that list – and also to all the stores that did not make Russ’s cut but who might as well be on that list too – I will take this moment to soak this in. Number #1. That calls for celebration. Thank you very much!

So this will show how old I am. I am almost tired of hearing myself talk about the good old times – the times of Magic, Jordan, Bird, Pippen, Barkley and such. And looking at this Olympics ”Dream Team” brought out the grumpy old man in me. And then J-Bawls talked about the true Dream Team documentary the other day.

That tells my age perhaps even more. I saw the trailer for that documentary when it was released this summer. I then thought to myself that this is something I need to see. But, as a child of my era – I figured I had to wait until.. I don’t know.. until they showed it on Eurosport or something. But all of a sudden (or actually last week – about 3 months after I really, really, really wanted to see it…) it hit me – I could just try this Google thing I keep hearing about… Damn, you kids got it good…

And there it was. And apparently it has been there since June 16th. So this is no news to the youngsters out there. But for the b-ball peeps of my generation – you have got to watch this. I mean now. Watch it now. To see these multi billionaires go at it in Barcelona ’92. And to get access to John Stockton’s home video walking through the city of Barcelona. And to hear David Robinson talked about Michael Jordan’s energy. Man, this makes me sound like a NKOTB fan. And I guess that would be like sounding like a Justin Beiber fan to you youngsters. And somewhere around here I wanted to squeeze in a punch line about even our early-teenage-girl-idols were better then. Just watch it

I realize that posting here once every second month is not really getting me more followers. But, as you might have guessed from the amount of text in my posts, I am not doing this to get more followers…

And yes yes yes, I know I’ve promised you pics and backtracks and what not. But here is the deal: it is time for Berlin tomorrow. And you know what that means. So there is no way I will be able to catch up on 3 months missed posts. I will do some eventually, because I have some really funny pics I want to share.

But right now I have something more important to tell you. As you might have noticed – the WeSC stocks has gone through the roof (not really but still) and is up 25% past week. And going back one week, that is exactly when rumors about a certain collaborative party in Berlin on Thursday the 5th started to afloat.

Co-incidence? I think not…

I any case – I know you all have a busy schedule in Berlin – but you know you usually end up at the WeSC party anyway so… here is yet another reason.

More information to follow shortly (and by information I mean that the public has requested me and Capitan Jonas Wiehager to entertain in the VIP-room with music and cheers (and by public demand I mean myself – I actually asked to do it (it will be fun and it might help me not to drink way too much))).

So – come on down ya’ll

So – what are you doning on thursday?

I want to write more here. I really do. But time… there is just not enough of it. I was in Las Vegas and New York last week with Johan and Peter. Had a really good time, and of course there is a report on that trip on it’s way. Maybe even tomorrow..

But I have something to tell you all first. When I was on my way to work today, a red engine light popped up on my dashboard. Not sure why, but I do know that when it’s red – it’s bad. So I figured I’d take it straight to Bilia to try to get it fixed. And in the waiting room at Bilia, they were showing morning TV and today’s headline was (in case you missed it) the Swedish Royal newborn babygirl. I already knew they had a baby, but TV was showing clips from the press conference. And that leads me up to my point. I have a birthday coming up, and I know a lot of you want to know what I want for my birthday.

Well, besides from the usual peace on earth request, I really want a guitar. No, I can’t play the guitar. Or as Pippi Longstocking said: I don’t know if I can play, but it would sure make it easier to find out if I had one. This birthday means I only have about 30 something more professional years ahead of me, and only about 40 something more years to live. So I feel that I have to do learn this now before it’s to late.

To make my birthday wish more serious and vivid, I will enclose a few guitar related video clips.
